A cold November morning in 1999, a home nurse is met with an awful sight when calling on one of her patients in Søndersø, outside Odense. A man is lying on the bathroom floor with his throat cut. This is the beginning of one the most savage murder cases in the history of Danish crime. More than 20 years later, a woman attempts to unravel why and how her childhood friend from Northern Jutland was involved in the murder.
